Porting a B2B system to Red Hat Linux
|
Our client
Our client is a US-based trading company.
Project Outline
The Company needed to upgrade its document-oriented trading processes; however, its older UNIX-based hardware wouldn’t support this upgrade.
The Solution
To enable B2B integration, rather than purchase another expensive UNIX system or re-implement a huge number of modules, Alierra Software proposed an upgrade to servers, based on the Intel architecture, deployment of Red Hat Linux and the use of integration standards like J2EE Connector Architecture.
B2B server signs contracts with multiple business partners using XML through HTTP (HTTPS). J2EE Connector Architecture helps to integrate already existing EIS with B2B server and extend the current system with new EIS.
Client Benefits
- Conserved resources and increased revenue
- Savings of about $200,000
- Increased reliability of the system
- Increased performance
- a fault tolerant system
Technologies
- Java EJBs
- J2EE Connector Architecture
- XML
- Oracle 9i
